Laura Linney, best known for playing strong, yet weak characters, is among of the most well-known American actors of the present. She was raised by a single, unmarried mother who was a nurse. Her interest with theatre in holidays by her famous father. She studied acting through Brown University, and later in Juilliard School. When she graduated from Brown University in the year 2000, she started making her Broadway debut in the following year. Within two years of this, her first feature film came out and the next year she made her television debut. Since then, she has been in numerous films as well as stage and TV productions. She has been nominated for three Tony Awards, three Academy Awards, five Awards, and four Primetime Emmy Awards (including two Golden Globe Awards), as well as received numerous awards over her career. Although she has received numerous nominations, she has a passion for theatre and has appeared on both screen and stage.
