Jenna Fischer's best-known role was that of Pam Beesly from the popular television show The Office. In recognition of her performance, she received an Emmy award for Best Actress in an Supporting Role. She also won two SAG Awards.
She was born and raised within Fort Wayne in Indiana. Jenna was awed by her mother, Anne, perform in the church when she was young and was able to instill a love of theater and performance.
Fischer was a theatre actress who was trained in her home country. She played Josh Hamilton in Neil LaBute's Off-Broadway drama Reasons to be Happy. The play was followed by her participation as the first woman to appear in Steve Martin's new production Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy starring Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking performance at The Old Globe Theatre.
The Office star Angela Kinsey's closest friend from real life and Fischer began with the Office Ladies podcast, on Earwolf at the end of October the year 2019. The show quickly became popular. Every week it ranked within the Top Ten in global downloads which topped 200 million in just its first couple years. Office Ladies was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the year award in January 2021.
The Actor's Life is her first book, which chronicles the road she took from St. Louis, Missouri to Hollywood which is where she discovered her calling as an actor professionally. Her next book, Office BFF's (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) is an autobiography of her most beloved friend as well as their time at The Office.
